Honest pricing for a transparent deck build process
Christchurch decking rates vary between $250 -$350 m2. For a standard 8m2 deck expect to pay anywhere from $2000-$2800. The rate depends on your decking finish aswell as add-ons such as firepits, outdoor entertainment etc.
Our rates include all structure, project management, rubbish removal and a top-quality Rhino Construction finish, guaranteed to last for generations to come.

Kwila Decking
Kwila (Instsia spp) is a South East Asian tropical hardwood used widely for decking in New Zealand. Attractive gold to reddy-brown coloured timber, Kwila is durable, easy to work with and has excellent stability.
Kwila decking is a commonly used finish for our higher end Christchurch decks.
Pine Decking
Pine is strong and easy to work with. It's not the strongest wood or the hardest, but it is capable to make for a great deck finish.

Garapa Decking
South American origin. Attractive golden colour, kiln dried, smooth both sides, very durable, doesn’t bleed.
Vitex Decking
Vitex is a Solomon Islands sourced tropical hardwood used for decking in New Zealand. An Attractive light-coloured timber which has been used mainly as exterior decking in New Zealand for over 30 years.
Vitex decking is a commonly used finish for our mid range Christchurch decks.
Purple Heart Decking
Purple Heart (Peltogyne) is a South American sourced hardwood. Purple heart timber is very dense and water resistant. Purpleheart has amazing strength and is very durable.

A typical 4x2 meter deck build can take between 1 and 2 weeks, depending on the scale of the project. Larger scale deck build projects incorporating fire pits, outdoor entertainment systems and lighting may take around 2 and 3 weeks.
Our Christchurch deck builds start at $250 m². For an average 10m², expect to pay around $2,500 depending on requested deck addons and your decking finish.
Depending on the scale of your decking project we can start your project within 1-2 weeks of our first onsite consultation.
